My Activity
I’ve spoken a lot about the dire state of women’s healthcare; from institutionalised medical misogyny, to the underfunding of research, to the epidemic of women being gaslit by healthcare professionals. The effect it’s had on every generation of women won’t fade overnight, but I’m really encouraged by the excellent steps being taken in this renewed strategy and I’m so glad to have a government that wants to take the sexism out of healthcare.

Being part of the New Towns Programme is so important for us continuing to grow as a city and make our city centre a place to be all day!

This Labour Council has already delivered new council homes on the Lakes Estate 🏡
Everyone deserves an affordable place to live in our city 🏙️
As the project continues to develop there has been consultation on many features to the line including an Eastern entrance for Bletchley Station and a new fully accessible station at Woburn Sands on the Marston Vale Line. It was great to attend the EWR event in Parliament to discuss these matters.
I understand that the delays to this project have been frustrating for many and I will continue to engage with those in charge to fight for an opening date for the line.

We have a thriving tech and science sector that so many students could be taking advantage of, especially when we are at the heart of the Oxford-Cambridge growth corridor.
A university will help Milton Keynes continue to deliver on opportunities for young people so that they do not feel they have to move out of our city. They deserve to build fulfilling lives and careers here.

Councillor Tracey Bailey and I have campaigned hard to see a shop on Glebe Farm.
So, it is great to see that Glebe Farm has got a much-needed shop to ensure residents have access to essentials when they need them. Situated near the school, a park and the newly opened “Esquires” coffee shop – making it a hub of community activity.
Make sure you pop down and visit both the Co-op and Esquires!

Young people deserve access to healthcare and support from medical professionals – they should not be the subject of endless political debate.
Last year I ran my first ever work experience programme and this year it returns. This is a great way to learn more about Milton Keynes, politics, careers and connect with fellow young people.

Pete is leaving us with an incredible legacy, being named Councillor of the Year in 2025, and with the cherry on top being a recent Local Government Association review which said that MK City Council was “Highly performing and well-run.”
Although Pete is leaving, I know MK City council’s brightest days are still ahead of us 🎈
