When I was Deputy Leader of Milton Keynes City Council I worked tirelessly to ensure that the council and voluntary organisations worked together so anyone facing rough sleeping knew that they had the support they needed.
Voluntary organisations and statutory organisations have a duty of care to those who are homeless but they must work together to deliver this.

Every single day myself and my team spend time helping the residents of Milton Keynes Central whether they have a policy question, housing concern or want to book a surgery appointment.
Since I was elected in 2024 we’ve sent 25,000 emails and closed 8,800 cases!

After holding one of my surgeries I came to Campbell Park to join in on all the fun of the African Diaspora Festival – one of my favourite events of the year in our city.
Thank you to everyone who makes this event possible, I had a great time getting involved with activities and having lots of lovely chats.

Attendees came from a range of sectors including the education and construction sector. It was lovely to hear firsthand how they have been using AI and the impacts they believe AI will have on their work.
When using AI it must be productive and play a role in supporting sectors not hindering them.

This is so important for our city due to its thriving and growing arts sector, we have several theatres, galleries and creative groups who create incredible art and performance. We saw this creativity really come alive during Midsummer Festival.

Sending people suffering from homelessness to jail and giving them criminal records for life is not the way to tackle rough sleeping. So glad to see this archaic law repealed today.

Re-opening the Milton Keynes post office! After a long campaign the post office is back open in its central location at the heart of 12th Street and near plenty of bus stops. Alongside offering all the traditional post office services, it also now features a gift and stationery shop. 🖊️
Visit to Cummins. This week I opened the new Cummins battery site, an incredible step for the sustainable energy sector in our city. I’m so glad that Cummins have chosen Milton Keynes as their home, we really are the centre of the Oxford-Cambridge growth corridor. 🔋

On the Real Hustle podcast, I chatted about my experience in politics and the dangers of misinformation, as well as my love for making change. Go on MK Dons! On Thursday we found out the fixtures for the next season of the MK Dons games and an exciting season it will be since the team were promoted to League One! I’m wishing them all the best in this new season! ⚽️
