Re-opening the Milton Keynes post office! After a long campaign the post office is back open in its central location at the heart of 12th Street and near plenty of bus stops. Alongside offering all the traditional post office services, it also now features a gift and stationery shop. 🖊️
Visit to Cummins. This week I opened the new Cummins battery site, an incredible step for the sustainable energy sector in our city. I’m so glad that Cummins have chosen Milton Keynes as their home, we really are the centre of the Oxford-Cambridge growth corridor. 🔋
Spending time with our local media providers – this week I was on the Real Hustle podcast as well as Asian Community Radio! On the Real Hustle podcast, I chatted about my experience in politics and the dangers of misinformation, as well as my love for making change. Then on Asian Community Radio, I chatted about the Milton Keynes Great Get Together which took place yesterday – more to come on that soon! 📻
Go on MK Dons! On Thursday we found out the fixtures for the next season of the MK Dons games and an exciting season it will be since the team were promoted to League One! I’m wishing them all the best in this new season! ⚽️

Not only has it retained all the classic services like sending post, banking and ID documents but we now also have a Stamp stationery shop! This means that you can send parcels whilst also picking up a new planner or even some gifts 🎁
Self-service points will be added at a later date to complete the post office experience ✉️
Having our post office back is a way to give our city centre that high street feel 🌟

Campaigning in the Makerfield by-election, a huge congratulations to the new Labour MP for Makerfield: Andy Burnham! The people of Makerfield rejected hate and embraced hope. ❤️
Lots and lots of media on the social media ban. It is vital that we do more to protect young people and hold social media companies to account for using their algorithms to promote harmful content. 📱
