The City of Culture Bid is so much more than just a title, it is an opportunity to showcase our fantastic city and everyone and everything within it. From our heritage and identity as a new town, incredible food and drink scene including so many local businesses, stunning and well-kept green spaces, and parks – we have so much to offer.
A huge thank you to everyone who has gotten us to this point in the Bid and to all the residents who have contributed their ideas and thoughts about how the Bid should take shape.

MK Heritage Open Days are back this September to celebrate their 20th anniversary!
The schedule looks INCREDIBLE with events ranging from a Mini Caribbean Carnival to sculpture workshops and even a sword school at the Bradwell Abbey Medieval Faye 🛡️

The 7/7S service between Wolverton and Milton Keynes will be adding Bradwell Common and Conniburrow to its route!
I’m really thrilled to see these two estates getting the bus service they deserve to give them faster connections to the city centre and around the rest of Milton Keynes 🚌

I’ve just had a meeting with Anglian Water – watch to hear the updates.
Anglian Water has been failing people in MK and whether it’s been low pressure or no water at all, it’s simply not good enough.
I’ve written to the Secretary of State to make sure the government is aware of the situation, and I’ll keep pushing Anglian Water on the need to give Milton Keynes a water system that we can rely on. A situation like this absolutely should not happen again.
