Finding time for donating to Willen Hospice is something I really try my best to do 💙
It was lovely to briefly pop into one of their many stores to donate some items – they’re truly a one stop shop for clothes, furniture, decor, shoes and accessories 🛍️
+ it is Second Hand September at the moment so next time when you’re looking for something new, see if you can pick up a second-hand version and give it a new lease of life

It was really lovely to be at the opening of the new Scania Learning Academy in Milton Keynes which is helping the company train their staff for the future of the logistics industry

The 5 Dimensions Trust look after a group of our fantastic secondary schools and primary schools in the city including: Brooklands Academy, Merebrook Infant School, Emerson Valley School, Priory Rise School, Shenley Brook End School, The Hazeley Academy and Walton High. ⭐️
It is always fantastic to hear about the work that the trust is doing to deliver for the students and schools that it looks after. I particularly enjoyed hearing about the 5D Baccalaureate which gives students a clear and ambitious goal to work towards. 👩🏫

Well, if you’re in Milton Keynes it’s the sound of London Northwestern Railway, Avanti or Lumo 🎼
This Labour Government is working hard to make railway journeys easier for people. We all know the feeling of being stood on a busy platform or at a packed station to find your train is cancelled and the next one is a half an hour away, starting from yesterday you can switch to using your ticket on a different operators train to minimise disruption to your journey.
Rail fares have been capped and the 16-17 saver which saves young people 50% off travel will now be valid for a year after purchase even if you turn 18!
These changes are making journeys easier, reliable and more affordable 🚝

MK Hospital Radio are a fantastic local media provider offering tunes and news to patients and the rest of the city (switch up your normal podcast on your commute for MKHR!)
There is a misconception that due to us being a new city, that Milton Keynes has no heritage but that could not be further from the truth. Whether it is our revolutionary Open University or historic churches such as St Mary Magadalene in Willen and All Saints Church in Bow Brickhill. ⛪️
New heritage or ancient history, our city is packed with stories and incredible people who do amazing work to keep our local heritage thriving. 🐄

So, I’m so glad to see this government taking action against illegal settlements that are harming civilians and driving Palestinian citizens out of their homes.
Peace must be secured and a two-state solution must be a reality.
The safety of young people and children online is not negotiable. Tech providers have an obligation to create a healthy online space not a harmful one.
