Hosting a homelessness summit to bring together the Council, my office and various organisations and charities across Milton Keynes to discuss what needs to be done to ensure that no one ever must sleep rough in MK. 🏠
Joining Beat, the UK’s leading Eating Disorder Charity, in Parliament to discuss their new casework scheme which will allow MPs offices to better support those with eating disorders. ❤️🩹
Visiting the new Universal Studios site in Bedfordshire – being just outside of MK, it will have a great impact on our city including job opportunities in building and running the site for students at MK College. 🌍
Marking the beginning of Pride Month (photo from last year), I’m really looking forward to seeing how MK celebrates this month throughout the city! Everyone deserves to live authentically. 🌈

The words she said that day remain true – we must choose community, compassion and connection over division and hatred.
Eating disorder support provision in the UK and across the world needs to improve – up to 70 million people globally are affected by an eating disorder.
It was lovely to join Beat in Parliament to discuss the activism and change we need to see to ensure that people get the care and compassion they need when navigating recovery. Recovery must be a reality for everyone no matter what.

Lifelong learning entitlement means that people can pursue qualifications over time rather than only having the option of a 3-year full time course which offers no flexibility around work and childcare.
Full-time degrees do not work for everyone and this new flexible funding option opens up higher education to so many more people. 🌟
