It was especially lovely to meet with the team from Wellbeing of Women to discuss women’s health and how we can do more to ensure that women’s health conditions are taken seriously.
Innovation and tech are the future of our healthcare.
The technology being developed in this industry is incredible and I even got to try some of it out myself – including getting nails printed on!
To all beauty companies and organisations in Milton Keynes – we see all that you do, and you play such an important part in our city.
It was lovely to be joined by Katie who was a previous resident at our YMCA in Milton Keynes – I’m so proud of the work that our YMCA does to ensure that young people in our city get the support and opportunities that they deserve so they can build the lives they want.
This Labour Government is taking homelessness seriously and I look forward to continuing to work hard alongside ministers to tackle rough sleeping in my role as Vice-Chair of the Homelessness APPG.
Global Health is an issue that is more than just giving aid across borders, it’s about building global partnerships, developing our healthcare, and ensuring better biosecurity here in Milton Keynes and across the UK.
It was also lovely to see that Yinka Ilori who designed the artwork outside our train station had also designed the cover of “The Hope Report”!
There was incredible music and a real community feel – I’m always proud of the way that we come together in Milton Keynes to celebrate such a range of events.
I even got the chance to try my hand at some music!

Minimum standards, safety by design, removing safe harbours… we’ve got a lot of work to do to properly deliver the Act’s safety obligations.

We’re taking another huge step to tackle the cost of living crisis for leaseholders. We’re capping ground rents at £250 a year, and moving to a peppercorn after 40 years.
We’re also changing the law so that leaseholders can renew their leases to a fair rate, we’re banning new leasehold flats, and establishing commonhold as a default tenure.
Every year homeowners pay £600 million to freeholders and in 2024 service charges reached an average of £2,300 per year, well above inflation. For too long, leaseholders and homeowners have paid through the roof for substandard service from managing agents and freeholders. We’re giving homeowners control back and ending the outdated leasehold system.
The Tories promised it in 2017 but never delivered. This is what having a Labour government can do.

I really enjoyed meeting the student council at Shepherdswell Academy and answering their questions about what my job is like.
I then had the pleasure of handing out awards to star students at Orchard Academy who are doing Milton Keynes proud with their incredible hard work!
Thank you to the staff and students who kept me on my toes and are an example of the fantastic educational environments within the city.
It will be an opportunity to learn about the work that I’m doing in Milton Keynes and within Parliament on the White Ribbon campaign.
Moreover, it will give you the chance to talk about what you want to see for women and girls in Milton Keynes whether that be more White Ribbon Ambassadors in schools or training sessions during PSHE lessons.
If you would like to attend, please RSVP to: ellis.archer@parliament.uk
Every child in Milton Keynes deserves access to opportunities and a fantastic education and our government is helping to deliver this.
I’m so incredibly proud of the staff and students at Langland Community School and Middleton Primary School!

This week I had the opportunity to speak to Blair McDougall, The Minister for Small Businesses and Economic Transformation about the delays that residents in Milton Keynes have been experiencing with their post. I have also written to him on this matter.
The site at Brinklow will be recruiting 13 new Posties to deal with these delays and I hope that we will see improvements soon.

Since being elected in 2024, I’ve been campaigning hard to ensure that our online sphere is a safe place for everyone.
From tackling disinformation, highlighting the shadow banning of women’s health content to calling out algorithms which promote harmful content.
I want social media companies to make their platforms safer for everyone in Milton Keynes and across the UK.
Their breakfast club supports around 800 children who get access to a meal and time to socialise and play outside with fellow students, it was great to see how the students often play a role in helping make food for these breakfasts.
It was also lovely to meet two of the schools’ youth parliament members to discuss the sustainability work they’ve been doing and the values they promote within the school of kindness, community and authenticity.
Thank you to Brooklands Farm Primary School for having me!
