Welcome
YOUR MILTON KEYNES CENTRAL MP
My Activity
Congratulations to Oshia Samuel-Mitchel for the winning the overall Student of the Year Award! And congratulations to all the other winners!
In Milton Keynes we have so many incredible places of education from our schools and sixth forms to MK College and the Open University – all of which are providing a range of opportunities to students.
MK’s students make the future of our city brighter!

It is vital that we understand how young men and boys feel navigating everyday life with new pressures in social settings and on online platforms.
If you know someone who would like to fill out the survey, please do share it with them!

Congratulations to Lauren Townsend who will be the Labour Group Leader and Donna Fuller who will be the Deputy Leader of the Labour Group – I have the pleasure of calling these two incredibly talented women my friends and I know they’re committed to fighting for residents across our city.

These wards are the new specialist frailty unit and have incredible dementia friendly features!
It was also great to see that the hospital is recognising the support that our veterans deserve.
Our hospital has grown considerably over the last two years: the new Oak Wards, a brand-new Radiotherapy Centre, funding secured for the Women and Children’s Hospital, a new car park and the building of two new operating theatres – I’m thrilled to see our hospital growing.

Labour on Milton Keynes City Council has a history of delivering, investing and caring for our city 🫂
Vote for your fantastic Labour candidates on the 7th of May 🌟
#uklabour #miltonkeynes
It’s great to see that Milton Keynes is a trial location for these polling hubs which will make voting more accessible and easier for many residents.
And why not use those 3 votes to support 3 incredible Labour candidates in your ward 🌹

Milton Keynes City Council have been doing an incredible job under Labour: delivering council homes, opening libraries, investing in parks, establishing a heat network, putting on free family activities and so much more.
On the 7th of May, we have a choice between chaos with Reform and a thriving city with Labour.

I was glad to hear that the fire was not a targeted attack – the LGBTQ+ community in Milton Keynes deserves to be able to express themselves authentically and have safe spaces where they can come together.
Pinks was an important part of nightlife, community and expression here in our city and I hope they are able to rebuild.
Willen Hospice have just reopened their shop in Woburn Sands and it is stunning 🦢
Why not visit this week for some new clothes and to support a very special cause 🌟

1. Canvassing in Eagle Farm for the local elections and stopping at Bake Away (one of our lovely local businesses) for a red velvet cookie 🍪
2. Visiting the newly refurbished Willen Hospice Shop in Woburn Sands – pop in to get some good clothes and donate to a great cause 🦢
3. Popping into the Guide Dogs reception to learn more about the need to secure early support for young people with visual impairment 🐶
4. Marking International Workers Memorial Day, a reminder that everyone deserves unconditional safety in their workplace 🫂
5. #LoveMK Day – as your MP, I get to celebrate our wonderful city every single day but #LoveMK Day is always extra special ❤️
6. Celebrating funding to help repair and refurb Milton Keynes College to ensure it can deliver high quality education and opportunities 📚

Workers deserve to be unconditionally safe. We must have safe and well maintained workplaces for all no matter what the occupation.
I’m so glad that in the UK and in Milton Keynes we have such powerful Trade Unions that fight for the rights and wellbeing of workers.
Many young people are not getting the support they need to confidently navigate life with a visual impairment and Guide Dogs are determined to change this by fighting for early support.
It was also International Guide Dogs Day yesterday – a day to celebrate the fantastic work these dogs do! 🐶

Fun fact: pottery is my favourite way to unwind after a long week in Parliament 🏺
It was a great opportunity to talk about the fantastic work that Willen Hospice do and discuss how integral palliative care is.
I look forward to seeing my colleagues wearing their incredible stock in the Chamber and around the Houses of Parliament – #sustainablystylish
As your MP everyday is #LoveMK Day and I couldn’t be more grateful for that 🏙️
What are you doing to celebrate today?

We are so lucky to have so many green spaces in our city some which are looked after by the Council and many by the amazing Parks Trust – they are places for families, exercise, social events, celebrations and so much more.
We should have so much pride in our green spaces – what park or lake in Milton Keynes is your favourite?
