These students are vital partners in the UK’s global science and innovation network. If we’re serious about being a science superpower, our visa system must support, rather than hinder, the talent and partnerships that make it possible.

We cannot continue with a system where harmful pornography is restricted offline but freely accessible online.

There must be parity between online and offline regulation to properly protect young people and tackle violent content. I welcome the work of @the_bbfc in setting clear standards – now we need to ensure those same protections apply in the digital world.

The loan charge scandal has affected the lives of so many across the UK, putting individuals through unimaginable amounts of distress.

As Vice Chair of the Loan Charge APPG, I want to see justice brought to these victims and I was glad to bring this up again in the Chamber yesterday.

I’m grateful for the decision made at the budget to write off £5,000 of the liabilities of those affected by the loan charge scandal – but there is more to be done.
