Today we celebrate 60 years since the ‘University of the Air’ White paper paved the way for the @theopenuniversity. 60 years since Jennie Lee and Harold Wilson took the leap and gave us all a new kind of University – one of accessibility, fairness, and education for all.

This funding comes alongside other investments into our hospital from the approval for the new Women’s and Children’s Hospital as well as the new radiotherapy centre – I’m proud that we have a government that is continuing to invest in our hospital.
