In 2025 the IWF identified 3,440 AI-generated child sexual abuse videos. This is an increase of 26,362% – a terrifying statistic.
AI if not properly regulated poses a huge safeguarding threat to our young people, we cannot turn a blind eye to this horrifying use of AI.
Here in Milton Keynes, we’re already taking on sustainability initiatives similar to this through the innovative heat network which is using our waste to heat Woughton leisure centre and other public buildings.

It was great to hear about the clinical ophthalmology services that Claire and her team are offering including services like behavioural optometry. Claire has such a clear passion for optometry and the care her and her team offer is truly special.

Once again, we saw incredible levels of talent and knowledge being displayed by students across the city – the future of our city is truly in safe hands with our young leaders.

It was also great to see the launch of the Milton Keynes Unity Organisation that is bringing women and families together through sewing and skills development classes, arts and craft exhibitions and health and wellbeing walks.

The Molly Rose Foundation are working tirelessly to make our online sphere a safer environment for young people and not one that capitalises off their distress.
We spoke specifically about the need to deal with harmful algorithms rather than simply implement a blanket ban on young people accessing social media platforms.

These students are vital partners in the UK’s global science and innovation network. If we’re serious about being a science superpower, our visa system must support, rather than hinder, the talent and partnerships that make it possible.
This fantastic Milton Keynes school supports children aged 2–19 with complex medical needs and severe learning difficulties.
Through @lifelitesorg they could receive up to £25,000 in assistive technology and support – helping pupils communicate, gain better access to education, and build confidence and independence.
