I’m thrilled to share that I recently took the plunge – quite literally – and completed a skydive to raise funds for the Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA)! Together, we raised an astonishing £2,151 to support current and former RAF personnel and their families.
Since its inception in 1943, the RAF Association has been a lifeline, offering practical, emotional, and financial support to serving RAF members, veterans, and their dependents across the UK and beyond. RAFA operates entirely on donations, touching the lives of thousands each year through welfare, outreach, and scholarship program .
I chose the skydive challenge to push my limits, and to shine a spotlight on this incredible charity. The adrenaline rush was real; but knowing every foot forward helped someone in the RAF community made it all worthwhile!
I want to extend my gratitude to everyone who donated. Your generosity hit £2,151, far exceeding my expectations. Your support means practical support, emotional counselling, and essential welfare to RAF families in need.
Please enjoy watching my terror and do consider donating (which you can still do!) here: https://www.justgiving.com/page/emily-darlington-mp?msockid=1d899025f5ae6d43037784d4f4a86c94
